The partner base of 45 community groups and schools is to be consolidated over the coming months with continuing project support and media training being offered by CTVT.
2 Media Training in Cornwall/CN4C
A three-town media training programme supported by Cornwall Neighbourhoods For Change (www.cn4c.org.uk) is under way. Local media training leading to local media production is being delivered in St Ives, Penzance and to a limited extent in Camborne, across West Cornwwall. In St Ives the local Reminiscence Project is the partner, in Penzance work involves a group of XL pupils at the Humphry Davy School. The partner in Camborne is the Pengegon Residents Association.

CTVT has launched a website to deliver open access community media to West Cornwall and the first two partners are the Reminiscence Project in St Ives and the Humphry Davy School in Penzance. This project is purely supported by Community TV Trust. In addition, meetings with a range of Cornish partner organisations have been taking place with CTVT looking to expand its media training and community website proejcts into East Cornwall. A project designed to interest Community Channel is also taking shape, for multi-camera recording of extensive public consultation exercises. n.b. CTVT would welcome contact from media professionals in Cornwall who are interested in this kind of programming and from anyone willing to offer volunteering time for production and media training.
4 TACT Ltd
Initial filming took place in November 2003 and post production on a documentary film is now complete. Each TACT region where filming took place will receive a short promotional video for local use. A programme for media training with staff is being drawn up for at least one of the regions.
The visit to Oban in Argyll to film the work of TACT Scotland revealed inspiring work in a stunning part of Britain.
The richness of footage acquired while filming in the regional operations of TACT ed to a half hour documentary as originally planned. CTVT is planning with the TACT webmaster for streaming media and open access pages for their website.
Future collaborations between TACT and CTVT may include a research project with planned funding from JRF and a filming visit to Serbia and Montenegro where Bob Rhodes, TACT Chief Exectuvie, has come across acutely deprived children's homes. You may remember Romania
